23 May 2018 - FRCC have been crowned Slough & District Cribbage League, Division 1 winners
Brilliantly led by tactical Captain John Senior, who blended the youth of Neville, Dorothy & Roy with the experience of Ian & Glenn Bucknell to secure the Division 1 league title, they narrowly (7-9) missed out on the double losing to Division 2 Champions Wrexham Bowls (or should that be Wexham?) in the "Champion of Champions" final.
Passports are now being dusted down as the team eagerly await next seasons European fixtures. And new players are always welcome, all you need is the ability to count to 15 and then on to 31. With one-to-one tuition, Ian Bucknell is proof this can be achieved. To join this winning team, just send a mere £100 to Captain John to secure your name on the team sheet.
18 May 2018 - Slough Town Supporters Trust Sponsors Junior Section
Farnham Royal Cricket Club is pleased to announce a sponsorship package with The Slough Town Supporters Trust for the forthcoming cricket season.
FRCC are prominent supporters of Slough Town FC including taking out a full page programme advert, with many of our members being season ticket holders, Trust members and travellers on the supporters coaches.
The Trust has donated £400 to sponsor the FRCC junior section. This was presented at half time of the playoff semi final against Kettering. In sponsoring the club, the Trust will have it's own sign on display at the ground, the scorebooks will have the Trust name on and also the stumps used by the club this season will all be painted in amber and blue. There is also a suggestion in the pipeline to invite the families of junior teams to Arbour Park later this year too, though the details are to be confirmed.
The Supporters Trust has also been given 2 sponsored matches as part of the deal, on the following dates:
Saturday 2nd June - 1st XI match v Wooburn Narkovians (1pm start)
Saturday 30th June - 1st XI match v Harefield 2nd XI (1pm start)
A licensed bar and meals will be available during the day, with the matches being played at FRCC's ground on Church Road, Farnham Royal. Any Trust member or STFC supporter is welcome to attend.
We look forward to working with STST through this summer and would like to thank them for their on-going support of FRCC.
