18 June 2019 - Announcement: Mark Linley is leaving FRCC
After 6 years Mark and Karen have decided to explore new ventures away from the Club. Being the Club Steward is a 24*7 role and we are very grateful for everything Mark has brought to the club during his tenure which has seen some very successful years and memorable moments. Mark's last day will be in the middle of July.
Whatever Mark and Karen do next we wish them all the very best and hope they will not be strangers to the club in future.
4 June 2019 - FRCC Family Fun Day 2019
A great crowd turned out to support the second annual Family Fun Day at Farnham Royal Cricket Club on Bank Holiday Monday.
Although not blessed with such hot and sunny weather as last year, the rain stayed away and the warm weather lended itself perfectly to the outdoor fun on offer.
Hungry visitors could choose from a plethora of food stalls including the FRCC BBQ, Drena’s cakes, Osama’s Indian snacks, Liligenics Vegan food and Sharelle’s Ice Creams. All washed down with a drink form the club bar!
The kids had great fun on the fairground stalls which included tin can alley, splat the rat and hook a duck along with glitter face paints and tattoos from Lauren at Starry Eyed and toys from Lisa’s pocket money toy stall. Beaconsfield Fire Brigade also entertained the children with one of their fire engines.
For the Adults there were plenty of stalls to browse around from Emma’s Bath Bombs and Beau Bespoke’s custom gifts to Usbourne Books – and they had to hope they didn’t end up in the stocks!!
Plenty of Charities and fund raising groups were in attendance too including Burnham Lighthouse group, South Bucks Riding for the Disabled and Arbour Vale School.
For the sporty there were beat the goaly competitions courtesy of Hedgerley Football Club and the Slough Town Supporters Club and a putting competition. Buzz Gym and Slimming World were also in attendance.
DJ’s Scott Biddle and Mel Ive kept the crowds entertained all day and the event finished with a big raffle draw and announcement of the winning guesses for the number of sweets in the jar and guess the weight of the cake competitions.
All photos from the day taken by our official photographer Tracey Keogh can be viewed and purchased from this link with all proceeds going to the club.
A big thank you to all our visitors, stallholders and volunteers, without whom this event wouldn’t be possible!!
