4 March 2019 - AGM Announcements
Congratulations to Matt Shave, who will captain the First Eleven for the 2019 season, after Nigel Field stood down at the end of last season. Good luck to Matt and the lads as they fight for promotion from Thames Valley League Division 3a.
Good luck also to Glenn Bucknell who will continue to captain the Second Eleven this year, as they seek promotion from Division 6a.
Brad Quelch will skipper the Sunday Eleven where we will be looking to develop some of the promising youngsters who have been demonstrating their ability at winter nets. Winter nets are still running every Thursday evening at Beechwood School (see the earlier news item for age-based times slots).
Our senior committee members have agreed to continue in their current roles. Many thanks to: Ben Nicholas (Chairman), John Hayes (Treasurer) and Paul Cunnington (Secretary) for continuing with the sterling work they all do.
Finally, it was recognised that significant outlay will be required over the next couple of years to maintain the facilities at Farnham Royal Cricket Club, including refurbishment of the outfield at the end of the 2019 season and replacement mowers within the next 2-3 years. As usual, the club is pursuing many avenues to raise funds, including sponsorship and social events. However, it was agreed that our annual playing membership fees are amongst the cheapest in the area. After considered discussion the meeting voted to increase annual playing membership subscriptions by £30 to £120 per annum. Social membership fees remain unchanged.

We need as many cricketers as possible to attend as there is a long list of jobs that needs to be completed. Please don't just rely on others to do this work; it is your Club and we do need your help!
3 March 2019 - FAMILY FUN DAY VOLUNTEERS MEETING.
A meeting for all Family Fun Day vounteers is to be held at FRCC on Tuesday 12th March at 6.30pm to have preliminary discussions as to what assistance is needed to make this a successful event.
Please attend if you can or let any of the Social Comittee know what you can offer. We were very pleased with the amount of offers we received last year and that reflected in a well attended and enjoyable event and would like this year to be even better.
